I try pretty hard not to be a promotional kind of gal, but this is something I would be remiss not to mention. My friend Brian Rowley of Growley Pipes makes some of the most beautiful tobacco pipes I’ve ever seen. (They are Tolkien-ish in look, in my opinion). From all I’ve been told, they smoke really well too. Brian makes his living working in his garage handcrafting these smoke-able works of art. Brian and his wife, Kelli, are also two of the kindest people I’ve ever met. They have a real heart for adoption and family. Part of this is bringing their daughter, Saffron, home from China. To help raise funds for this endeavor, Brian is raffling off a custom pipe. Raffle tickets start at $20. That’s a small fraction of the purchase price of one of these gorgeous beauties ($250-$300+ value). That second place pipe bag is nothing to sneeze at either ($58 value on its own, plus Brian is throwing in a tamper, pipe rest, pipe cleaners and your choice of 1 tin of tobacco from his private reserve)! The drawing is this Saturday, June 13 at 1pm CST. Don’t miss your opportunity to win one of these pipes and help a Dad bring his daughter home for Father’s Day. Makes a great gift for you, or for your favorite enjoyer of fine pipeweed.

If pipe-smoking isn’t your thing, you can still support their adoption efforts here.
